Importance of Eating Right

The little ones in Nursery were told about the importance of eating right . They were also made aware of the importance of having milk twice a day. It was fun learning about the balanced diet. The kids also enjoyed making fruits with the finger dipping activity.




"Water Pouring Activity"

Children of KG learnt about  the importance of water and did "water pouring activity"  using towel, sponge and bowls in 'Life skills' online session.




Independence Day Celebration - KG

It was a red letter day in the history of India when the country got her freedom on August 15, 1947. It took hundreds of years for us to break shackles of slavery. In East Point School our learners celebrated this day of bravery with full enthusiasm. We witnessed our kids as various freedom fighters like Rani Laxmi Bai, Bhagat Singh, Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Indira Gandhi and many more. They expressed themselves so remakably. Hard work and creativity of their parents were clearly visible in their handmade props and costumes. We are so touched and moved by little efforts taken by them.




Learning by doing activity -Nursery

Learners were very excited to learn letter Nn through different activities. They made Nutella Sandwiches and shared it with their family. They made pictures of objects beginning with letter Nn like net, nib, nest etc. An activity to reinstate the concept of numbers was also done using nut shells. They also made a nest and  eggs using paper.




Independence Day Celebration - Nursery

Our youngest bunch of patriots and freedom fighters from Nursery, all dressed  in tricolour showing love for the nation presented a  wonderful bonanza of Music and Art  on the occasion of our 74th Independence Day.




Fruity Bookmark

Little children are always curious to learn new things and  learning through activities makes it easy for  them  to understand things better. This week in EVS session, Nursery children made fruit bookmarks and learnt about  different fruits and vegetables.




Hands- on Learning

Our tiny tots of Nursery are busy making XYLOPHONE and X-RAY as one way to learn the alphabet X using broad colourful strips by printing their hands on black sheet of paper using white water colour.




International Yoga Day -2020

The students of Nursery and Kindergarten participated in the online yoga session today to commemorate the International Yoga Day. Various yoga postures, different asanas and meditation were performed. Through this event students were enlightened on the benefits of yoga and the need to remain healthy and fit. The students enjoyed the session immensely.




KG-C Annual Day

Children of  class kg C  celebrated their annual day with great enthusiasm and zeal on 5th March'20. The theme of the programme was 'The Rainbow Story'. Children presented a beautiful story of rainbow colors  all about overcoming our differences and learning to live in peace and harmony followed by Rainbow fairies dance. The programme concluded with children receiving their graduation certificates with pride and confidence.




KG-B Annual Day

Students of class KG - B were excited to perform on their annual presentation.  They enacted on the musical play of 'Goldilocks and 3 bears'.  The feeling of achievement and confidence can easily be seen on their faces as they receive their graduation certificates.  Parents were contended to see their wards taking a step ahead in their school journey. 




NUR-C Annual Day

Students of nursery performed a skit on jungle book and danced on a jungle song. They were awarded with certificates for their excellence in the class.




KG -A Annual Day

Children of KG ‘A’ enacted a skit “The Three Little Pigs” on 4th March,2020. The little ones enjoyed being dressed as pigs and danced happily on the tunes of ‘Happy Song’. They proudly received their graduation certificates also.




1-C Annual Day

The wonderful cherubs of class 1C enacted a play – ‘The Pied Piper of Hamelin’ on 29thFebruary, 2020 as part of the Annual Day celebration.The day was a sheer display of talent and team work. The programme included the report of the academic year and an orientation related to the new session for the parents. Students were awarded with the beautiful mementos by the heads of the school. Further they proceeded for the Exhibition prepared by the students. 




Class 1-D Annual Day

The students of Class 1-D showcased their talent through a play on Snow white and the seven Dwarves on 29.2.20 (Saturday). Each child participated with great enthusiasm and enjoyed it thoroughly. 




NURSERY-A Annual Day

Students of Nursery-A  performed a skit on Madagascar followed by the Annual dance .All the children were dressed as different animals. They were awarded with certificates for their excellence in the class.




NURSERY- B Annual Day

Stellars of Nursery B showcased their talent in front of their parents. They had fun acting as monkeys, rabbit, squirrel etc in the story "The Monkey and The Cap Sellers". All the children danced joyfully to the foot tapping songs. The children received their certificates of excellence with immense jubilation and pride.




KG-D Annual Day

KG's Ride with Little Red Hiding Hood
The talented tots of of KG-D organised a fun filled day for the parents as they presented their Annual Day.  They enacted the famous story 'Little Red Riding Hood' followed by the animal dance celebration. The program was concluded by the graduation ceremony where the children were dressed like little graduates and received their certificates.




Blending Words

An activity was conducted in the Montessori room wherein students understood the concept of blending words.




Keep our surroundings clean

Children watched a  story on how to keep our surroundings clean and did small activities on that.




Fun Activity

A fun activity where kg children are reading the labels and matching them to the correct pictures.These oral language exercises enlarges their vocabulary and promotes their reading skills




Learning in a fun way, “Ganit Racks”

Taking a practical approach towards learning in a fun way, “ganit racks” were used by the students for a better understanding of concepts taught in class.




MISSING NUMBERS

In order to understand the concept of missing numbers better, an activity was conducted where the children were made to stand in a queue. Each child had a number and randomly they were removed and the others had to guess the missing number. The children thoroughly enjoyed this activity.




Paper Folding Activity

  Kids have done paper folding craft work to make car,  aeroplane.




MONT ACTIVITY- DRESSING FRAMES

The dressing frames are just one more example of how the Montessori classroom  helps prepare children become independent.




White Colour Day - Nursery

The tiny tots of Nursery celebrated white colour day on 25th November 2019. All the children came dressed up in white. The kids performed the activities like hand printing. They were followed up with the worksheet which helped them to identify and relate to the objects around them which were white in colour.

Tiny tots of kg enjoyed spin the wheel activity, which helped them to differentiate between short and long sound of "oo" Words

LETTER ‘D’ ACTIVITY

Children of nursery did an activity wherein they pasted dots on the template of Alphabet D.




Yellow Colour day- Nursery

Yellow colour day was celebrated by tiny toddlers on 26th August. Students wore yellow colour attire and brought different objects of yellow colour to the class. They also did hand print activity for the better understanding of the colour concept.




Janmashtami Assembly

To celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna, the children of KG and Nursery performed a dance-drama. The children came dressed up as krishnas, Radhas and their friends. Beautiful decorations were put up to make the event more colourful and joyous.




Van mahotsav -KG

The tiny tots of kg contributing to van mahotsav by sowing , planting and watering plants.




Mother's Day Celebration

The pre primary wing of the East Point school celebrated Mother's Day on the 15th and 16th of may 2019. The little champs enthusiastically played the band, sang songs, danced and recited rhymes to show their love and gratitude towards their mother. This was followed up by games played by the mothers and prize distribution . It was a fun filled day which was enjoyed by all.




Junior Annual Day Cum Graduation Ceremony

The Pre-Primary and Class 1 of our school celebrated its Annual Day cum Graduation Ceremony on the 9th of March 2019.Ms. Dipali Khanna former CEO of Indira Gandhi National Centre for Arts graced the occasion as the chief guest. The little students presented a mesmerizing cultural bonanza which included a Band performance by (KG- I) , Roller Skating (KG-I) , English Play “ Finding Mommy” (Nur-KG) and Hindi Dance Drama “ Ekta mein Anekta” (Class I) . The Pre-primary Coordinator presented the Annual Report of the junior wing and highlighting schools activities along with the pre-primary school’s curriculum .The KG children going to Class 1 walked with pride in their graduation gowns and Hats as they received their graduation degrees from the Chief Guest . Srishti K. of Class 1 was awarded with the Dancer of the Year award. Miss Dipali while addressing the gathering lauded the efforts of the children and staff. The program culminated with the thanks giving note by the Headmistress. 




Sports Day

The Pre-Primary Sports Day was held on 1st December 2018. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Ms Usha Ravichandran, a member of the management committee of our school. The school ground went vibrant with the tiny tots dressed in bright costumes. The day started with the parade and the percussion band.It was followed by class races of Nursery and KG, which included “Bob the Builder”, “Hockey stick Race” and “Get ready for school” where the young ones diligently did the task in hand and finished the race. There were drills like “Under the Ocean” and “Bhangra Dance” which gathered much applause from the audience.Parents also participated in the “Tug of War” and “Flat Race “with zeal and interest.




Black Colour Day

The tiny tots of nursery celebrated black colour day on 29th October 2018. All children came dressed up in black colour. The kids performed the activities like colour white paper in black and changing of colourless water into black colour water which helped and relate to the objects around them to the colour.




Maths Week - KG

East Point School conducted Maths Week from 22.10.18- 26.10.18 .Children learnt maths through various activities such as “Measuring object like Table through hand span”, “weighing eraser and pencil”, “measuring trunk of a tree by their arms”, “comparing measures – heavy, light, big, small”. These were fun filled activities thoroughly enjoyed by children.

Day Camp-KG

On 25 September 2018, our classes were turned in the fairy tale land for the day camp on the theme “Once Upon a time”. Our little ones selected their own famous fairy tale for e.g. The Three Little Pigs, The Big Turnip, The Little Red Hen and The Little Red Riding Hood. They were thrilled by participating in the activities like Watching videos, Role Play, Puppet Theatre and Art and Craft.




Science Week

To develop the understanding of different sense organs, our inquisitive learners of Nursery actively participated and learnt through fun based games like Sniffing the Jars, Dino Track, Nature Walk and Tasting Tongues. 




National Sports Day -

Students of East Point School celebrated National Sports Day on 29th August ,18. Various outdoor activities were conducted to motivate the children and inculcate the sports habits in them. 




Rakshabandhan Celebration

Students of Nursery and KG celebrated “Rakshabandhan” on 24th Aug 2018. Beautiful Rakhis were made by students and tied on each others hands. Three short stories on “Why Rakhshabandhan is celebrated" were shown to children and role plays were conducted in the classrooms.

There is no better teacher than Nature’...the tiny tots of Pre Primary have been exploring nature to the fullest this monsoon. Activities like Bugs hunt, paper boat making, window dressing and various arts and craft activities were carried out on 8 August 2018 relating to the rainy days for enriching awareness and experience among them.




Show and Tell

Taking learning outside the classroom the children of KG had show and tell activity as a follow up to the Visit to the Birds coop in the school premise. They were all dressed up as various birds and spoke about different parts that help to fly and also their special features.




Blue Colour Day

The little ones of Nursery celebrated Blue colour day on 23rd July 2018.All the children came dressed up in different shades of blue. The kids performed the activities like hand printing and Colouring followed up with the game 'Hunt for Blue' where kids picked up different things of Blue colour present in their classrooms , which helped them to identify and relate to the objects around them to the colour.




Mother Dairy Visit

To make learning more interesting and fun filled, students of nursery were taken to mother dairy booth on 19/7/18 where they saw various milk products .They all were very excited  to see different flavours of yogurt , milk and ice cream and identified all of them. They were also told about the benefits of the same .




Welcome Week

A welcome week was planned where various activities such as tearing pasting, fun with colours , mask making , , puppet talk , free play were organized  to make the children comfortable in their new environment. Buddies were provided to the new children in order to help them settle and make them aware of their surroundings.




Labour Day

Labour day on 1st of May was celebrated by children as Thank you day wherein they gave handmade cards and flowers to the helpers around the school to show their respect and gratitude thus bringing in smiles on everyone’s face.




Shape Collage Activity

DIY (Do It Yourself) activity using various shapes was conducted on 20th April,2018 for KG children to encourage creativity,enhance application of concept and co- relate to things around to the learnt.




Green Colour Day-Nursery

Green Colour Day was celebrated in class Nursery on 23rd April,18 where children came dressed in green colour and to make learning more interesting and fun loving children did various activities like thumb printing and colour search.




Brown Colour Day

Brown colour day was celebrated by tiny toddlers on 29th January. Children wore brown colour attire and brought different objects of brown colour to the class. Various activities were conducted like mask making , tear and paste and colour hunt for better understanding of the colour concept.




English Week

To inculcate the importance of language and enhance the language skill from the very beginning.English week was celebrated in kg,during 13-17th November. The theme was taken as PEPPER. The week started with listen and draw activity and was followed by various reading sessions,JAM sessions, picture composition and compound word spinner activity.

White Colour Day

The tiny tots of Nursery celebrated White Colour Day on 27th November. All the children came dressed up in white. The kids performed the activities like finger printing, making Santa with cotton and free hand drawing of white colour objects.

Mock Drill

Mock drill of Bus was arranged in the school premises for the children of KG. The objective was to make them aware of safety on bus. Teachers gave them a small demo on how to board and deboard the bus. The kids learnt many do's and don'ts in a bus ride, few important instructions were given in case of emergency. As a follow up Children illustrated their experiences and wrote few sentences about their learning too.

“Our Community Helpers”

To make learning more fun and effective children of K.G presented Role Play activity on 25th Oct,2017 on the Topic “Our Community Helpers” by a skit where the helper were introduced through enactment. This helped the children to improve their communication skills and enhance their confidence.

Diwali

Diwali celebration for pre-primary was on 17th Oct,2017. On that day, children of Nursery and K.G recited a poem on ‘Aayee Diwali’ and ‘Wish you a Happy Diwali’ respectively.. “Diwali Mela” was also organized in Art room with different activities like diya decoration, lantern making , rangoli and tattoo making with paints. It was a fun filled day for all the children.

Purple Colour Day

The tiny tots of Nursery celebrated ‘Purple Day’ on 23rd Oct ,2017.All the children came dressed up in Purple colour. Activities like Brinjal painting, bottle cap printing and thumb printing were done to help them identify the colour and make learning more effective.

Fireless Cooking Activity

Various monthly activities are planned and organised for KG children like gardening,instruments,.etc The activity of the month being fireless cooking where they were taught to prepare sandwiches chart etc. Children were dressed as chef and participated in the activities wholeheartedly.




Orange Colour Day Celebration

The tiny tots of Nursery celebrated Orange Colour Day on 18th Sep,2017. All the children came dressed up in Orange colour. The kids performed various activities like tearing and pasting ,making of the fruit orange with thermocol plate. This was followed with the worksheet which helped them to identify the colour and relate to the objects around them.

Yellow Colour Day Celebration

The tiny tots of Nursery celebrated yellow colour day on 28 August 2017. All the children came dressed up in different shades of yellow. The kids performed the activities like paper tearing and thumb printing in yellow colour object. They were followed up with the worksheet which helped them to identify and relate to the objects around them to the colour.




Celebrating Janmashtami in School

Janmashtami festival was celebrated on 10 August '17 with great zeal and pomp by the children of pre-primary. Children came dressed in , as Krishna and Radha and other colourful outfits. A skit was performed by the children depicting the birth of Lord Krishna which was followed by dance with great joy.

Visit to Dolls Museum

The little East pointers of class nursery visited the dolls museum on 25th July 2017. Children were excited to see dolls from different parts of the world dressed according to their tradition and custom. It was a memorable experience for little ones.
